The Maple Tree is a charity run by members of the local community. The centre primarily offers a range of activities and services for children aged 0-5, their families and carers. The centre also helps to put parents in touch with the right people for advice about issues such as benefits and adult education, provides parenting and first aid courses
A Children’s Centre is a place where parents and carers of children under 5 can:
- Meet new people
- Relax and have fun
- Get support from the Health Visitor and Midwife
- Find out about a whole range of support services for parents and carers
- Get information or advice on children’s learning and behaviour
- Get information about training, returning to work and child care options.
We want the Children’s Centre to provide what local people want so please let us know what you would like to see at The Maple Tree Children’s Centre. We welcome donations to cover the cost of healthy snacks and refreshments. We suggest £2 per family. All of our sessions are suitable for 0-5s, accompanied older siblings are always welcome too. We often add extra sessions and events throughout the programme, so do keep in touch so you’re always up to date.
